I’m halfway through React.js Conf, and wow, it’s been a blast.

Some backstory: Codecademy switched to using React for all our new frontend work about six months ago. React is an awesome library for building UIs, open-sourced by Facebook, but that description doesn’t really do it justice. At some point I’ll have to write about that in more detail.

Anyway, yesterday’s talks were amazing. The conference organizers have done a great job, the attendees have been really interesting, and the speakers have been great. I definitely took a lot of notes about things I want to rethink regarding how Codecademy uses React. I’m also insanely excited to try using React on mobile (React Native).

Later today I’m speaking! My slides are here: http://goo.gl/Zdftwn .

I’ll write more once I’m back on the cold, cold East Coast.
