I make chainmaille in my spare time, but it’s been a while since I made any jewelry for myself rather than for friends. (Right now my main project is a purse, which I expect to take a few more months.) So, I sat down to watch a movie last night, and took out some new brass rings to work with while I did so.

OK, so I didn't close my links perfectly...still, the bracelet feels smooth to my skin, and has a nice weight to it.

Materials and weave: A simple European 4-in-1 weave with brass 18ga 3/16” rings, purchased from TheRingLord. Maybe 2 ounces of rings?

I do most of my work with aluminum, and wanted to try some other metals, so I purchased a tiny bit of bronze and brass recently. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to work with, and I much prefer the weight to aluminum for this kind of project.

I’m looking forward to trying the bronze next.
