I finished knitting my first sweater today, using Cascade 220 worsted-weight wool. The weather is disgusting today - 90-something degrees and humid, pretty typical for this time of year - so I tried the sweater on just long enough to get some photos. But I’m really excited! So excited, in fact, that all I’m doing now is daydreaming about my next sweater.
I know I want to knit another top-down sweater, because being able to try things on as I go is wonderful, and I want to try knitting a cowl neck. I’m looking at the Francis Revisited pattern on Ravelry, because I like the cowl neck as well as the seed stitch detail. This time I also want to do a more deliberate job of shaping, so I’ve been wandering around a bunch of blog posts, too:

Right now I’m thinking that I’ll follow the pattern from Francis Revisited, and do my own modifications for body shaping. And I’ll probably make the sleeves tighter, too - I don’t generally like having my sleeves flopping around. Maybe in a dark green wool?
Project planning / daydreaming is definitely the best phase.
